An Overview of Schizophrenia and Psychosis

This half-hour workshop will introduce staff to schizophrenia and psychosis concepts with the goal of providing participants a basic understanding of thought disorders.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Achieve a basic understanding of schizophrenia, its onset, symptoms and treatments
  2. Understand that psychosis can be caused from other sources besides schizophrenia
  3. Identify the symptoms of psychosis
